Here’s a classic friend-of-a-friend episode. The Spaniard’s previous guest, Rollie Peterkin, urged a talk with his fellow Penn wrestler and graduate Ben Reiter, and it’s a great one. Ben tells Spanny how his family’s strong wrestling tradition helped them all through tragedy and how his drive to help others led him to humanitarian work in Peru. While there he also fought professionally, persevered to learn Spanish and ultimately formed a family that now lives in Philadelphia, where Ben works with the organization Beat the Streets to aid at-risk youth.
